There may be a time that your horse, cow, or small ruminant needs to see a specialist. We are happy to arrange that for you if needed. Veterinary specialists attend an extra four years of school after veterinary school to learn about their specialty.
We refer our large animal patients primarily to the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. There are excellent internal medicine and surgical specialists there. They will be able to hospitalize, perform sterile surgery such as colic surgery, and use their expertise to get your animals to recover as quickly as possible.
